DeYonne Parker, Visionary and Compiler of "If Her Purse Could Talk", along with 11 other courageous women, invite you to open each of their "purses" and take a peek inside.
What was the inspiration behind this project?
This project was inspired by a Soul-Spirations blog post that DeYonne Parker wrote in 2015 where she compared and contrasted the contents of her purses with those things she carried in her heart in different seasons. The Lord began to prompt DeYonne to turn the blog into a book, but one she didn’t have to write by herself. She was very hesitant because she had already written, “Girl, Get Your S.W.A.G. Back!” and it took a lot out of her. At the beginning of 2018, she took a courageous step and invited 11 powerful women to open their “purses” and share their transformational stories in the book, “If Her Purse Could Talk”.
